Aida is 5 years old !

Aida's birthday was Feb. 15th and Nana and Baba went to Brooklyn to bring her birthday gift................a Barbie Jeep !

the next weekend , it snowed 7 inches and Aida and Violet stayed overnight at Nana and Baba's house ! Baba pulled them on the sled down the driveway !

and built a lovely snowman on the front lawn- Nana didn't have a carrot for his nose so they used an asparagus- Nana ALWAYS has asparagus !

then it was time to go into the Hot Tub with Baba!

the next day we went to Kaka's for the Family birthday celebration and Aida performed Magic Tricks that Auntie Aim gave her for her birthday -they both practiced and practice the night before !
such a wonderful , captive audience!!!

and Millie is totally enjoying the video that Nana had made for Aida- a "Dora Birthday" DVD ! Aida was in the corner hiding from it, totally traumatized by the whole thing! Millie LOVED it ! so did Duncan ! I never saw him laugh so hard!

QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 HOLIDAY

David and I arrived in London at 6:30 AM on January 6th totally refreshed after being "upgraded" to Business class and sleeping in the British Airways "pod"-what a treat! then Cunard Lines drove us on an hour and half ride to South Hampton to the QE 2





the reason we arranged this trip was to surprise our Dear Friends, Norman and Marella, who had booked this trip way before us! we knew they were checked in and we waited in the Queen's Lounge-when I saw them coming down the hallway I jumped up and got this picture of 2 very surprised Friends !



it seemed most of this journey was spent sleeping late,eating, nodding off, eating,napping , MAYBE read a little,eating and then going to bed ! there were 5 formal nights- this was the 1st night-we had adjoining banquettes-gads! what meals we had!



the weather was a little rough the first few days but eventually became mild ; enough for David to take a dip in the Hot Tub- notice alot of other people with him (NOT!)


and the other reason we went on this fabulous trip was because it was History in the making-it was the last Round the World cruise for the QE2 before being retired to Dubai becoming a Hotel- and the Queen Victoria was making its first Round the World trip and was tandem with the QE 2 the whole way to New York- there's the Queen Victoria behind me-it was so exciting to see that ship every day and at night! we ended up coming into the New York Harbor with the Queen Mary 2, making even more history! all 3 Queens together! quite exciting!

albeit , David and I slept through that part! I tell you, sleep, eat, sleep, eat! nothing like it !!!!

Violet's 3rd Birthday lunch

I went to Brooklyn for Violet's birthday and I asked, "where do you want Nana to take you out for lunch?" and right away she answered"SUSHI and soup!"-guess this comes from living in NYC?and she ate every bit of it !
